What kind of dish is this?

This is a Russian dish made with beef and sour cream etc.

It is beloved and has many different versions around the world, including a derivative version that exists in Brazil, far from Russia.
I ate it rice bowl style.

Name

Stroganoff=Stroganov family, a nobleman of Russia

History

This is a dish devised by a French chef of the Stroganoff family in the 19th century for a cooking contest.
Having won the contest, the chef named the dish Stroganoff.
Then, in 1871, it was gradually gaining publicity by being listed in a cookbook.
In Russia at the time, French culture was very popular with aristocrats.
As a result, the dish, invented by the French chef, gained popularity from them.
※There are multiple other theories.

Spread in the world

In the 1920s, it became popular in Shanghai, also known as Paris in the East.
It was transmitted by immigrants to the United States, but it took some time to become popular here.
Probably because it was an unfamiliar dish.
But, it seems that soldiers fighting around each country did not have any resistance to unfamiliar dishes.
After World War II, it was first preferred by military personnel and eventually became known to many.

Others

I made this recipe based on a recipe by Katerina, a Russian who posts videos on Youtube. I adjusted it to my liking.
I made this by adding her recipes and adjusting my preferences and lunchbox.
It’s surprisingly easy to make.
It’s just stir fry and mix.
By using sour cream, moderate acidity was added and it was very delicious.
I never get tired of beef stroganoff.
