Introduction

Nice to meet you.
My name is T.Nagata.
I’m Japanese and I live in Tokyo, Japan.
This site is a website created by T.Nagata with recipes from around the world and their history.

Recipe

The recipes listed are Local recipe or Local recipe with some adjustments of mine.
I’d love to travel the world, but it’s not easy. However I want to feel a little bit of another culture.
That’s why I have started to cook local recipes for each country.
I recommend it to people who have similar ideas, and also to those who want to cook and eat something different from the usual once in a while.
※Some of the recipes are labeled “local recipes” in the recipe section. However, recipes vary from family to family and region to region. Each ingredients also varies in taste and quality from country to country, so you will not get the exact same taste as the local one.

History of each cuisine

I have included on this site not only the recipes, but also the history of each dish.
As I have made and tasted many different dishes, I have come to the conclusion that I am interested in “when, where and who developed these delicious dishes?”.
I was able to satisfy my curiosity by researching them thoroughly. I also realized that each dish reflects the history, traditions and culture of the country it is from.
I realized that I could deepen my understanding of different cultures by knowing the history of each cuisine as well.

Conclusion

I hope that visitors to this site will enjoy traveling through food and traveling abroad through food.
I have also received advice from many people of all nationalities in the creation of each article and recipe.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their help.

I would be grateful if you could point out any errors in the articles, recipes or English language expressions.

Bon Voyage!

Information

★I’ve written “laurel leaves” in some recipes. I think the name is different in different countries. In some countries it means “bay leaves”.
